Welcome to whenpoisemeetsbeauty.blogspot.com!
I was greatly inspired by the artwork of the 20th century especially the Cubism movement lead by Picasso and Braque. Cubism is a movement whereby their paintings consist of simultaneous viewpoints and from analysis of objects in space. Furthermore, their works includes may lines and geometrical shapes.

For this collection, I have decided to translate the line and the asymmetry of their works onto panels and pockets. Next, I have also used printed fabrics to mix and match the lines and layering on top of each other to create the feeling of cubism.

For this lookbook I was inspired by Film Noir (Black film/cinema) from the 1900s. The films during that period were mainly resulted from the tensions and insecurities during that period of time (1940s to 1950s)
